Overthinking

Actions speak louder than words. The internet is a brilliant tool when used appropriately. However it has also created a lot of noise - a lot of contradicting messages about health and fitness. I've observed a lot of people spend all their time humming and hawwing about what the 'right' way to do things is, and spend none of their time actually doing anything.

Health is influenced by our actions, not our thoughts.

Here is a list of things that you need to do to be healthy.

1. Drink mostly water

2. Eat like an adult.

3. Lift heavy things.

4. Get proper sleep.

5. Move often and in many ways.

There may be other things that could in theory make you healthier, but they are so numerous and relatively minute that it's a waste of time. My point is, stressing out about plastic messing with your hormones, the pollution in the air, and the best type of water to drink will probably cause more stress than is worth the return you'll get on your health.

We're all going to die. Our time on this Earth is finite. Being healthy is not about cheating death, it's about enjoying life for as long as possible. It's about being able to sit up out of a chair by yourself when you're 70.

And maybe even carry a big bag of cans home.
